PrimeWright vs. GovWin (Deltek): Which Fits a Small GovCon Shop

GovWin IQ is a serious product, built by a company that has been in this market a long time. The honest comparison starts there. This is not a takedown. It is what Deltek's own pages say about GovWin IQ, as of this writing, and where a solo or small shop's actual needs diverge from the team GovWin is built for.

What GovWin IQ actually is

By Deltek's own description, GovWin IQ is a government contracting sales and intelligence platform for contractors in the U.S. federal, state/local/education (SLED), and Canadian markets (Deltek, GovWin IQ). Deltek's business-automation page describes the platform pairing "150+ market analysts" with an AI layer called Dela to surface opportunities, summarize documents, and score lead fit, and says it tracks government programs "from the earliest budget signals through solicitation" so a team can spot pursuits "months or years before they're publicly posted" (Deltek, Business Development Automation, as verified 2026-07-14). That early-signal tracking and the analyst layer behind it are a real strength. Most GovCon tools, including ours, work off public solicitation data and don't run a staffed analyst desk.

What GovWin IQ's own pages say about pricing

Deltek does not publish GovWin IQ pricing anywhere on its site. Both pages checked for this post, the GovWin IQ homepage and the business-automation page, offer a demo request or a "try free" link and nothing else on cost (Deltek, GovWin IQ; Deltek, Business Development Automation, as verified 2026-07-14). GovWin is sold through a sales conversation, not a self-serve checkout. That is worth knowing going in: there is no tier you can pick and pay for online, and what you end up paying depends on seats, modules, and the deal your account executive works out with you.

Where the actual difference is

GovWin IQ is built around research and analyst intelligence for a BD team, one that budgets for a sales-led enterprise tool and a Federal Industry Analysis process. We built something for the operator who doesn't have that team: a pipeline that pulls your matching SAM.gov opportunities daily, reads and scores every one, prices it against real award history, and preps the bid to a signed, ready-to-send state, with you reviewing and signing every submission yourself. That is a difference in what the tool does for you day to day, not a claim that GovWin's data or analyst bench is weak.

You bring your own Anthropic API key if you want to control AI spend directly, or pick a flat monthly tier. Browse is free forever with daily analyzed picks and no card required, Starter runs $49/mo for 100 processed bids, Pro runs $149/mo for 350, and Team runs $349/mo for 900 with shared roles. BYOK is $59/mo flat with unlimited AI usage on your own key. No sales call required for any of it. Full detail is on our pricing page.

Who each is actually right for

GovWin IQ fits a federal, SLED, or AEC business development team with budget for an enterprise sales-led platform, one that wants an analyst-backed research bench and early budget-signal tracking ahead of solicitation. We fit a solo operator or small, minority-owned shop running their own pipeline, who needs the daily find-read-price-sign workflow done for them without a BD department or a custom quote.

Neither of these is a claim about which product has deeper data. They're built for different jobs and priced for different buyers, and it's worth being honest about which job you actually have before you sign up for a sales call priced for the other one.
